Tomorrow I am 12 weeks (out of the first trimester!) and this last week Adam and I have started to notice the bump making an appearance. To be honest, I am shocked that I am already showing but I am also a little excited about it. In honor of my bump, Adam and I have decided to take photos as I grow with a little reminder of how big the little one is as the weeks pass.
If you research each week of pregnancy on the web, you are constantly told that your baby is now the size of "fill in the blank." Usually it is a fruit and it helps you visualize how big your little one actually is. Well, at 12 weeks our baby is about the size of a lime (avg. 2.1-2.5in). Here is our first shot and a couple of Adam having fun with our lime as well. :) Enjoy!
Today is also Mother's Day and it wouldn't be complete without thinking of how much my mom means to me. My mom and I have always been close but as I am becoming a mother myself, I find myself getting even closer to her. It is as if I am finally taking that last step toward understanding with her that you just can't do until you are a mother as well. No, I am not a true mom yet, but it is amazing what just being pregnant can do/mean to you.
So, here is to my mom who went through the first trimester blues and all of the trials yet to come to bring me into the world and help shape me into becoming the mom that I, myself, want to be. I love you, Mom!
